Yes — we rent a fleet of Cannondale mountain bikes from Corazón Del Cielo in Volcán: full-suspension trail bikes, a full-suspension e-MTB, 29" hardtails, and a kids' bike on 24" wheels. Rates start at $25 for a half day on a hardtail ($15 for the kids' bike), every rental includes a helmet, and multi-day rates are available. Message us on WhatsApp to reserve yours.

We recommend it — the fleet is small and the popular sizes go first. Same-day rentals are often possible, especially on weekdays, so it's always worth asking. A quick WhatsApp message is all it takes to confirm a bike and a pickup time.

Don't worry about it — just send us your height when you reserve and we'll set the right bike aside. At pickup we do a proper fit, dialing in saddle height and controls before you roll out. Our adult bikes come in S, M, and L, plus a 24" kids' bike for roughly ages 8 to 12.

Yes — we have full-suspension e-MTBs in the fleet. The motor takes the sting out of the highland climbs, which makes the bigger Cerro Punta routes realistic for almost anyone, and it's a great equalizer for couples or groups with different fitness levels. Reserve ahead on WhatsApp — the e-bikes are the first to go.

No appointment needed — just roll in during shop hours and we'll take a look. For bigger jobs, sending us a photo on WhatsApp ahead of time helps us have the right parts ready when you arrive.

Yes — we work on all brands: mountain, road, gravel, and kids' bikes. And if something isn't worth fixing, we'll tell you honestly rather than charge you for a repair that doesn't make sense.

We keep the common consumables in stock — tubes, chains, brake pads, cables, and tubeless sealant. Special parts we order in: message us on WhatsApp with what you need and we'll get you a price and a timeline.

No — our easiest tour follows flat farm roads at conversation pace, so if you can ride a bike around the block, you can join. Every tour lists its difficulty (easy, moderate, or advanced) along with distance and climbing, so you can pick honestly. Only the advanced Volcán Barú farm-roads ride asks for real mountain biking experience.

Every tour includes a quality mountain bike and helmet, a local bilingual guide, water and a trail snack, and a coffee at Sencijo Cafe when you get back. Some rides add extras — the Bambito valley tour includes a coffee-farm visit and tasting. Lunch, gratuities, and hotel pickup are not included.

Yes — the easy Lagunas de Volcán ride is our family favorite: flat, relaxed, and with a kids' 24" bike sized for roughly ages 8 to 12. Other tours have minimum ages listed on their pages (8 for the Bambito valley, 12 for the Cerro Punta loop, 14 for Barú). For a day built entirely around your youngest rider, a custom private tour is the way to go.

We ride year-round. December through April is the dry season with the clearest skies; from May to November the mornings are the driest window, so book an early start in those months. Light highland rain doesn't stop a ride — and if the weather turns genuinely bad, we reschedule at no charge.

Not at all — Sencijo Cafe is open to everyone, riders or not. Come for highland coffee, food, desserts, and smoothies, and stay to watch the bike and furniture workshops at work a few steps away. Plenty of our guests never touch a pedal.

Yes — the pieces around you are made in the Sencijo Craft workshop next door, and most of what's in our catalog is for sale. We also take custom commissions in local teak, built to your measurements. Ask at the counter or send us a WhatsApp message with what you have in mind.

Volcán sits in the Chiriquí highlands, a little over an hour's drive up the mountain from David — the nearest city, with a regional airport and long-distance buses from Panama City. Panama uses the US dollar (locally also called the balboa — same value, and US bills circulate everywhere). In the highlands cash is still the easiest way to pay, so bring some; there are ATMs in Volcán town. Booking requests through our site aren't charged online — we confirm each one personally by WhatsApp or email and sort out payment then.

Volcán sits at about 1,400 meters, so it runs roughly 10°C cooler than Panama's coast — spring-like days, with cool mornings and evenings. Sun, mist, and a passing shower can all show up in the same day, especially from May to November. Whatever the month, pack a warm layer and a light rain shell.
