Getting here
Corazón Del Cielo sits on the Volcán–Cerro Punta road in the western highlands of Chiriquí. Here's how to reach us from wherever you're starting.
From David & the airport
David's Enrique Malek Airport (DAV) is the closest airport, with daily flights from Panama City. From David, take the Pan-American Highway west to Concepción, then turn north onto the Volcán road — a beautiful winding climb into the highlands. Plan on roughly 1¼–1½ hours of driving for about 55 km. Rental cars are available at the airport; a taxi or driver can also be arranged.
From Boquete
Boquete and Volcán sit on opposite flanks of Volcán Barú. The standard route runs back down through David and up the other side — plan on roughly 2 hours. It's an easy day-trip pairing: ride with us in the morning, and you're back in Boquete for dinner.
From the Costa Rica border
Coming from Paso Canoas (the main border crossing), head east on the Pan-American Highway to Concepción and turn north to Volcán — around 1¼ hours total. From the quieter Río Sereno crossing, a scenic mountain road leads directly toward Volcán through coffee country.
By bus
Frequent buses run from David's main terminal toward Volcán and Cerro Punta throughout the day. Tell the driver you're going to Corazón Del Cielo on the Cerro Punta road, or hop off in Volcán town and message us — we'll point you the last stretch.
Good to know
Fuel up in David or Volcán town. Bring a layer: at ~1,400 m the highlands run 10 °C cooler than the coast, and mornings can be misty. Cash (USD) is king in the highlands — there are ATMs in Volcán. The drive itself is part of the trip: watch for viewpoints as the road climbs.
