The family behind Sencijo
We'd rather be outside than behind a counter — which is why the counter faces the mountains. Come by and you'll meet us all: someone will be pulling shots of coffee, someone will be truing a wheel, and someone will be covered in teak shavings.
We didn't move to the mountains to open a business. We opened a business so we could share the mountains.

A family at the foot of the volcano
We're a family that landed in Volcán, Panama and never wanted to leave — the cool mountain air, the coffee farms climbing the hillsides, the trails that disappear into cloud forest. Corazón Del Cielo is our home and our workshop, and Sencijo is what happens when we open the doors and invite you in.
Bikes, wood, and coffee
The three branches of Sencijo aren't a business plan — they're just the things we love doing with our hands. Guiding a first-timer down a farm road with Barú on the horizon. Planing a teak board until the grain shows. Pulling a shot of coffee grown twenty minutes up the mountain. We built one roof where all three could live together.
That's why the café looks into both workshops. Work done honestly is worth watching, and we'd rather you feel like a guest in our shop than a customer at a counter.
Why we do this
Sencijo comes from sencillo — Spanish for simple. It's a daily reminder of what we believe: that the best things are simple, and that the most important thing of all is the simple good news of Jesus Christ. Loving God and loving our neighbor is the whole foundation of this place. Every rental, every tour, every table we build, and every cup we pour is our family trying to do exactly that.
